Georgia Fiero Club Invites You to Run For The Hills Rerun

Members of the Georgia Fiero Club would like to invite all Solstice and Sky owners to join us on Saturday May 30 for a rerun of last year's Run For The Hills. We will leave Clayton, Ga. at approximately 10AM and will experience some of the most twisted roads we can find in Georgia, North and South Carolina. We may even drive under a few waterfalls as there are more than a dozen in the area.
There are a few flat roads, but there are also good elevations. On the final leg, returning to Clayton, we drop approximately 2000 feet in a 30 mile run. If you'd like to join us, email me at georgiafieroclub@gmail.com

We will meet at the Burger King in Clayton, Ga. between 9 and 10 AM. We should pull out by 10 AM. If you plan to go, let me know so I know how many maps to print out.

I've been looking for others in the Augusta area to trade stories and drive with... glad to be here!
There aren't many of us Kappa owners in Augusta. I see a few, but not many.... wanted to join a local org that I may get involved with. Thanks for the club!

Hello back---My wife and I (Steve) live in Dearing, which is about 25 miles west of Augusta (small hole in the road)----I've only been a member for a few months and don't know anyone either---FYI, there is a get-together taking place in Myrtle Beach this month.

Meet at the Outback parking lot near Stone Mountain
East Park Place Blvd at the east end of the Stone Mountain Freeway (US 78)
Drivers’ Meeting at 9:00 AM
Come visit the shops, restaurants, pubs, and home of the UGA Bulldogs. Visit the many cultural attractions that are available, or just relax and enjoy the scenery. The downtown area will be decorated for the holidays and everyone will be happy to see us.
The spirit of our event is to encourage all sports and classic motoring enthusiasts to meet for a scenic drive and share some fun on the last weekend of the year. Everyone is welcome to participate with your most interesting auto – or bring the family in the minivan.
The drive is a leisurely tour. All cars will receive a set of detailed directions, so that nobody gets lost or left behind. Stops will be provided along the way. Atlanta area residents will have the opportunity to participate fully and be home before dark.
Mark your calendars for December 27 and don’t miss the largest winter driving event in the Southeast. The event takes place rain or shine.
The starting point is located east of Atlanta at the end of the Stone Mountain Freeway. From the east Permieter (I-285), take US 78 about 9 miles to the first traffic light. Turn left on East Park Place and into the parking lot on the right, behind Hardee’s, Arby’s, and McDonald’s. Fuel is available nearby, so please top off before the start, as there will be only a limited number of gas stops available along the route. Snacks and drinks are a good idea, too.

We will be doing the run on November 22nd. The cruise will start at the Ingles Supermarket at the intersection of Ga. Hwys. 400 and 53 in Dawsonville. It's located just behind the McDonalds Restaurant. We should plan on leaving by 8am.
I have only done this route once and was not leading so please don't hold me responsible if we miss a turn. But it should be a great time. I now have a navigator so hopefully between KYGXP and myself we should be able to find our way around.

I'm thinking about putting together a North Gerogia Fun Run for Mid-November. Wanted to get some feedback on what weekend would be best for everyone. Like before majority rules. I cannot do it the weekend of Nov. 1st or the 8th. The 29th is Thanksgiving weekend and I cannot do it then either. So it would have to be the 15th or the 22nd. Let me know what is best out of those 2 dates and I'll start putting it together.

My wife and I went to this show and had a great time. Met some nice people and Betsy actually won a plaque for best in class: American Sports Car for her 2007 Solstice. Woo-hoo! We look forward to seeing y'all again.

I have been seeing where some clubs are having what they call work weekends. The club members meet at a members house or shop to help other members do mods to their cars and have a cookout. What do you think about this? Just a thought.

The Fiero club is very excited about joining us and have promised not to get in our way as we fly by them!!! Hi everyone,
We are going to try and have on last get together before the end of the year. This will also be our final farwell to BigBooks as she starts her new life in California after the holidays. We will be meeting for dinner at Famous Dave's on Hwy. 78 in Stone Mountain/Snellville this Thursday at 7pm.
Hope everyone can attend. Let me know if you need directions, but it's pretty easy to find. From Stone Mountian and all points north and south take Hwy. 78 going towards Snellville. Go thru the light at Killian Hill and it's on the right. Those coming from Mall of Georgia area may want to take Hwy 124 to Hwy 78 take a right and it's on your left just past the light at Hewitt.
See you there and if you can't make it have a wonderful and safe holiday.
