Eyelids

They look good but I guess my first question is, how does it effect headlight illumination? In my opinion the headlights on the GXP are already throwing too narrow a beam. What effect does the eyelip have on the headlight beam? Thanks for your reply and have a good day. Frank I Do you find this valuable?

Absolutley none. I only cover up to the projector itself and it goes around the circumference of the lens. It just basically just get's rid of the pointlless upper portion of the headlight. But yeah, my first day of posting I have a few orders on it. So I guess people are liking the idea. Hey, it's cheap and if you don't like it just take it off.:) On the issue of the already narrow beam. I am personally going to either buy and HID upgrade or just a really bright bulb. Cause the stock bulbs, in my opinon, suck! They could have at least used Sylvannia's Silverrstars for the headlights rather than basic bulbs. You figure they would incuded that with the high price of a Solstice GXP..lol

I have changed mine to an HID upgrade but to no avail. They are brighter (whiter) but still as narrow. If you find some other HID upgrade bulb that gives off more of a side illumination let me know.
There are several other areas where the car is lacking i.e. rear wheel hop, seaping 3rd member vent tube, notchie shifting, underhood IAT heatsink, weak valve springs,etc. When we get together to swap out the rear section of our cars we can talk about some corrective action I have taken to eliminate the weak spots. Have a good time this week-end at NOPI. If the weather clears up for Sunday I may drive down and try and find you. Take care. Frank Do you find this valuable? |
